iWS Training in Research Methods
Unless specified otherwise training programmes under iWS are priced Per head. Trainees will be awarded the iWS Certificate of Attendance. All support and services falling under this category do not include presentation to third parties by iWS. Clients interested with these services should include the request for Conference Discussant Services (CDS) in their application for their main service.
IWS-RMT.04 Qualitative Secondary Data (QSD)
Secondary analysis of qualitative data is the use of existing data to find answers to research questions that differ from the questions asked in the original research. Secondary analysis involves the use of existing data, collected for the purposes of a prior study, in order to pursue a research interest which is distinct from that of the original work; this may be a new research question or an alternative perspective on the original question. In this respect, secondary analysis differs from systematic reviews and meta-analyses of qualitative studies which aim instead to compile and assess the evidence relating to a common concern or area of practice.
